We do small and large print runs, prepress, printing and finishing entirely in-house. We offer you an all-in approach, including distribution of your printed matter to one or more addresses. Even worldwide deliveries are possible.
Moreover, you are always in direct contact with our staff. They are experts in their field and are regularly trained on our wide range of techniques. This allows them to assist you optimally, by phone, e-mail, an online or face-to-face meeting.
Strong in printing for over 30 years
Jacobs Printing has been making its mark on the printing world from Bruges since 1992. Driven by a great love of premium-quality printing, our family business has grown into a modern, leading partner for companies that want to give their printing more charisma. This is our story.
1992
Werner Jacobs and his wife Lut open the doors of their printing house on the Gistelsesteenweg in Sint-Andries (Bruges). Modest beginnings, with 1 printing press, 1 cutting machine and a darkroom for photogravure.
1995-1998
With a new printing press, a small machine that prints at A3 size, the print shop is taking a big step forward. The work consists mainly of family printing: birth cards, business cards, wedding announcements and obituaries.
Due to the increasing number of orders, the adjacent premises are soon purchased. A Heidelberg printing press for two-colour printing is added.
2002-2006
Ignace, the eldest son, steps into the family business. A few years later, the youngest, Laurens, follows suit. The printing house digitises and moves to larger premises on Peter Benoitlaan in Bruges. Two four-colour presses are installed.
2012
A turning point: the family business builds a brand-new printing plant in Ten Briele industrial park in Bruges. To cope with the increased production volume, an XL 75 5-colour press is added. The family printing that started it all now accounts for barely 1 per cent of activity. The focus has completely shifted to corporate printing (leaflets, catalogues, price lists, etc.) with print runs between 500 and 5,000 copies, and sometimes up to 50,000 or even more. The team is growing with it.
Finishing is furnished with machines for leaflet collating and stapling, gluing, sewing, cutting and binding booklets.
2016-nu
The beating heart of the machinery today is a sheet-fed printing press in 10 colours + varnish in 75 format. This allows sheets to be printed recto-verso in the same pass. A Heidelberg Versafire CP fully automatic digital press takes care of short runs.
More and more customers are finding their way to us for their high-quality printed products. Whether it is hardcover books or invitations with special finishes, thanks to our quality and flexibility, they come back again and again.

This is reflected in our choice of paper and ink, in how we limit, recover and recycle waste, in our energy-efficient approach, in the way we organise our logistics and, last but not least, in our pleasant, safe working environment.
